Michail Michelarakis

Michail Michelarakis received the M.Eng. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the Democritus University of Thrace, Xanthi, Greece, in 2011, and the M.Sc. degree in electric power engineering from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden, in 2015. He has worked as an electrical design engineer in renewable energy systems and as an R&D engineer in HVDC systems. He is currently working towards the end of his Ph.D. degree with the Advanced High Voltage Engineering (AHIVE) Research Centre, Cardiff, U.K, and he is also a Research Associate within the same group. His research interests include eco-friendly insulating gases, surface and partial discharge properties and characterisation, and electromagnetic computations.
